Dulux celebrates 80 years in business

2013 marks 80 years for the Dulux brand in Australia. To help commemorate this birthday milestone, an exciting campaign kicks off in September, which looks back over our colourful past and celebrates our bright future.

A great in-store talking point, the campaign taps into Australians’ love of all things vintage and includes some ‘retro-style’ promotional opportunities.

From September to November customers can purchase 4L or more of any Dulux paint to receive a free 2014 Dulux calendar that showcases a range of original vintage advertisements.

Customers will also be able to purchase a special edition retro 6L Wash & Wear or Weathershield can from Bunnings, Mitre 10 or Inspirations.

The free calendar giveaway will be supported with an advertising campaign, including a new TV commercial, digital advertising on YouTube and Facebook, PR and social media activity.

As part of our PR campaign an iconic image featured on a 1950s Dulux colour card has been brought to life with a modern contemporary twist. Australians have fallen in love with mid-century design and this image helps celebrate the decade that had a major influence in Australia and is still popular today.

Dulux is one of Australia’s most recognised, trusted and loved brands. This campaign celebrates eight decades of continuous innovation and leadership.
